Main Stage

 The Main Stage features the Annual Battle of the Bands along with other great music throughout the weekend.

This year's Battle of the Bands audition will be held Thursday, September 6th at the Joslyn Center.   The finalists selected will battle for the title and a $500 cash prize. Additional prizes are awarded for runner-ups. Good luck bands!!

Live music will be performed on the main stage Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am until 6:00pm. The battle of the bands is Sunday morning 10:00am until 1:00pm with the winner playing a set immediately after. The schedule will be posted here once it is set.

Saturday, October 6th

  • 10:00am - Delaminators with Rick Farrell - classic rock/blues
  • 12:00pm - Elvis Tribute Band
  • 2:00pm - Jeremy Buck - rock and roll
  • 4:00pm - Glamnation - Glam rock from the 80’s


Sunday, October 7th

  • Battle of the Bands - 10:00am - 1:00pm

  • 1:00pm - Truckstop with Ben Dale
  • 3:00pm - The Curtis Band - alternative & classic rock

South Stage

 The South Stage, which is located next to the Joslyn Center, offers continuous entertainment from 10:30 am until 6:00 pm on Saturday and 10:00 am until 5:30 pm on Sunday. South Stage focuses talent on Cover and Tribute bands.  Come listen to your favorite music while enjoying lunch from one of our many Food Booths, or just to rest for a while.  Entertainment includes music from soft country and blues to rock and roll.  There is something for everyone.

We kick things off at the South Stage immediately following the parade.  The Mira Costa High School Band officially opens the Fair!

Community Showcase

 The South Bay has got some amateur talent, and the Hometown Fair Community Showcase is the place to see it!   There is something for everyone to delight in, from a wide variety of art and photography, to tap dancing, belly dancing, musical ensembles, fashion shows, crooner’s, and jazz combos. Come on into the Joslyn Center and check it all out, or better yet come and be a part of it!  Amateur’s only please.

Amateur Art Exhibit - 10:00 - 5:00

South Bay residents with a talent for drawing, painting, photography, sculpting, quilting, or other crafts are welcomed to submit an application to exhibit their work at the fair. Please no craft vendor submissions.


Amateur Performer Stage Shows

Amateurs with a talent are invited to perform during the Hometown Fair.   Performances are featured on the Joslyn Center Stage.  Dance performances, gymnastics and karate exhibitions, choral groups, music and drama students are encouraged to submit applications.
